69th Avenue Greenway/Cahlander Park Fence
Proposed construction includes replacing the wood fence along the north side of the 69th Avenue greenway between Brooklyn Boulevard and Palmer Lake Drive and the privacy fence on the west side of Cahlander Park. The City bid the project in 2016, but due to higher than expected bid amounts, it was determined to rebid the projects. Funding for staining the following year is also included as part of this project.
On May 19, 2017, a contract was awarded to Fenc-Co. Inc. for the Cahlander Park fence replacement, fence construction is complete with some turf restoration yet to be completed.
The 69th Avenue fence will be put out for bid in the fall of 2017 with an anticipated completion in June 2018. Based on contractor availability and the weather, some of the 69th Avenue fence may be completed yet this fall and the reminder will be done in the spring of 2018. The sealing of both fences will be completed before the winter of 2018.
